E-Export in the AI Era: Redefining Global Boundaries


Yiğit Kalafatoğlu, founder of VVP, took the stage as a speaker at the 18th Istanbul Apparel Conference, organized by the Turkish Clothing Manufacturers’ Association (TGSD) and held at Çırağan Palace.

In this special session, he shared the stage with Sedat Sezer, Co-Founder of Ross Business Solutions; Hasan Önal from the Turkish Ministry of Trade; and Yaman Alpata, Founder & CEO of Megamerchant. Together, they discussed the future of e-export, how brands can position themselves in global markets, and the strategies behind reaching the first international order within just 30 days.

During his talk, Kalafatoğlu emphasized that in today’s digital landscape, market boundaries are no longer defined by maps, but by algorithms. He highlighted that the concept of a “distant market” has shifted from a geographical to a semantic meaning — where success in global branding now relies more on exporting meaning rather than just physical products.
